KALAMAZOO, Mich. – Northern Illinois closed out the 2013 Mid-American Conference Gymnastics Championships with a bang, as the Huskies’ vault squad combined for a school record 49.000 score, but falls on uneven parallel bars and balance beam kept the Huskies from contending for the title.
MT. PLEASANT, Mich. – Northern Illinois put together its most complete meet of the 2013 season at Central Michigan Friday night, earning its season-high team total with a 194.025, but fell to the No. 21 ranked Chippewas at McGuirk Arena.
MUNCIE, Ind. – Northern Illinois’ third consecutive attempt at a narrow victory fell short Friday as the Huskies dropped a 192.475-192.075 decision to Ball State in Mid-American Conference women’s gymnastics action at Irving Gym in the Ball State Sports and Recreation Center.
DeKALB – Trailing by nearly a point and a half after two rotations, Northern Illinois put together five strong routines on both balance beam and floor exercise to claim a 192.775-192.525 comeback victory over Bowling Green Saturday at Victor E. Court in its 2013 Mid-American Conference opener.
